One of the writing projects closest to my heart is an intertextual study which I have published as The Matrix and the Alice Books. As the title suggests, the book presents aspects of intertextuality between Watchowski’s movie The Matrix and Lewis Carroll’s books for children Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland and Through the Looking-Glass.
I have recently changed the cover of the Kindle version of the book, with Alice looking up at the Cheshire Cat who smiles down at Alice from a tree while, in the background, the binary coded Matrix digital rain invites the readers to a world where dream and reality are one.
To “celebrate” the new cover release, this week, I’m touring the world wide web with The Matrix and the Alice Books. Here’s the schedule:
- August 19: The Swallows’ Nest
- August 20: Deal Sharing Aunt
- August 21: Book Crazy Reviews
- August 22: Perfect Chaos
- August 23: My Cozie Corner
- August 24: Stressed Rach
- August 25: Women’s Intuition
I encourage you to comment on their posts as, for each tour stop, I will give to the most engaging commenter an e-copy of The Rage of a New Ancestor, a collection of short stories set in Asia, where I also have one contribution. Additionally, I will be awarding a $10 grand prize to a randomly chosen commenter during the course of the tour.
