T – 5 days: Indoor Archery World Cup in Singapore

By 02/12/2012Archery

I normally take a day off from archery every Sunday, but as there are only five days left until the Indoor Archery World Cup in Singapore, I got up earlier than usual, made a cup of tea and drove to Hua Mark Archery Field in Bangkok where I have been training hard for this event since late September.

The two cups of hot tea with milk that I had at home cut my hunger and thus I decided against going for breakfast and instead ate three bananas. By 9am I was already warming up and then, after two sighting ends, I went straight into recording two scores at 18m. I shot relatively well for the first score (282) and was quite happy with my second score (287).

I had a late breakfast and returned to the shooting line for more practice. I called it a day at 3pm and felt good about my Sunday shooting. I can’t wait to go to Singapore and see if I can perform as well during completion time!

5 more days to go!
