Romanian Hub is a Language Learning Online Platform where I make fun, informative, and engaging Romanian Language Videos Lessons.
Why I’m doing this?
I have a passion for teaching and languages and I would like to make Romanian, my native tongue, one of the most popular languages in the world.
How can you help on Patreon?
I post a Romanian Language Learning video lesson on YouTube every day, five days a week, from Monday to Friday. This takes a huge amount of time in planning, recording, editing, and uploading the files. But I believe so much in this project that I’m willing to put all my efforts into creating videos that can help people with their Romanian Language Learning.

What happens to your money?
To minimize production costs, there are only two people behind Romanian Hub. Myself, in front of the camera, and my wife, behind the camera. I also do the editing and all other YouTube related tasks, while my wife schedules my time.
I have already made a huge investment in semi-professional recording equipment but I know that the editing part still needs improvement. The money that you pledge on Patroen will be used to purchase better software and plug-ins, take video editing classes, and hopefully set up a Romanian Hub dedicated YouTube studio with the cameras ready to roll and professional sound and lighting equipment.
Who is behind Romanian Hub?
My name is Voicu Mihnea Simandan and I’ve been a schoolteacher for almost two decades. I’ve taught English Language and Literature, Social Studies, and Psychology at all levels.
The person behind the cameras, my wardrobe advisor, and the manager of our improvised “home studio” is no other than my wife, Upashna Rai Simandan, herself a teacher with a strong passion for community service and literacy.
We are based in Thailand where we both have full time jobs at an international school in Bangkok but, originally, my wife is from India while I was born in Romania.
Together we are the Romanian Hub Team who believes that the Romanian language is a beautiful one which deserves to be taught at a worldwide scale.

What are our goals?
The Romanian Hub project is a labour of love that we will forever provide for free and make available to anyone around the world. You can help us reach that goal by pledging money on Patreon.
The short-term goal is to expand our video production from 5 videos a week to 7 videos a week.
The medium-term goal is to upgrade our editing capabilities and set up a YouTube studio dedicated for Romanian Hub recordings and production.
The long-term goal is to make Romanian Hub a full-on Language Learning Program and launch a platform where learners can watch the video lessons, do follow up activities, engage in conversation with other learners, and find out more information about the intricacies of the Romanian language.
Our dream is that the Romanian Hub Language Program will be adopted by schools, universities, language centers, and other educational institutions worldwide and that Romanian will become one of the most popular languages in the world.
