HOW TO COUNT FROM 10 TO 20 IN MONGOLIAN | Learn Mongolian Lesson #2

In this lesson from the Learn Mongolian Series, my Mongolian friend and Olympic archer Gangtugs Jantsan will teach you how to count from 10 to 20 in Mongolian.

As a general rule, the numerals from 11 to 19 are formed by combining the word for 10 with the respective number. For example, 11 is a combination of 10 and 1: araw (10) + neg (1) = araw neg (11).

Let’s begin the lesson.

10 – araw
11 – araw neg
12 – araw hoyor
13 – araw guraw
14 – araw doruw
15 – araw tav
16 – araw zurgaa
17 – araw doloo
18 – araw naym
19 – araw yes
20 – hori
