5 Fantastic Father’s Day Gift Ideas

This year, Father’s Day is on June 18th, which makes it a little over a month away. It’s one of my favorite days of the year as you get to show your dad some extra love and appreciation for all they’d done for you. Likewise, you get to spoil your husband and show them how much you value everything they do for your children, and how great they are as a father.

Bearing that in mind, here are five fantastic gift ideas:

Tickets

If you want to do something special for Father’s Day then buying some tickets is a great idea. Tickets refer to any type of ticket for any type of event you think your husband/father might enjoy. For a lot of men, these could be tickets to a ball game so they can see their favorite team play. Or, it might be tickets to a concert or theatrical play. It could even be tickets to a screening of their favorite movie that they don’t stop going on about. Regardless, tickets for an event is a fantastic gift idea as it means they get to go out and experience something they love and have probably been wishing they could do for ages.

Aftershave

You can never go wrong with some fancy aftershave as a gift for your husband. I like this idea as it benefits you as well as them. They get a nice new aftershave to use, and you get the joy of smelling it! Of course, it’s also a great idea for your dad too. Naturally, there are loads of different aftershave scents out there to choose from, but how do you make the right choice? Likewise, this can be an expensive gift if you don’t play your cards right. Here are two tips for you; research and discounts. Do some undercover research and find out what your husband’s favorite aftershave brand is, then, look for discounts to get it at a more affordable price. For example, if they always get Hugo Boss aftershave, then look for a Hugo Boss sale and get the fragrance at a discounted price. This way, you buy them something you know they’ll like and save enough money to buy them a couple of smaller gifts as well.

Books

I find that dads can be very traditional with their tastes. Sure, your husband/father are likely to embrace technology in many different ways. In fact, they’re probably always the ones with new little gadgets from time to time. However, when it comes to reading a book, they always prefer having a proper novel in their hands compared to a Kindle or iPad. With that being said, buying them some new books is a great gift idea this Father’s Day. Of course, book buying can be a bit tricky, as you need to understand their tastes before you buy. Take a look at the books they’re currently reading and see if you can make an educated guess as to what type of books they like. Or, listen out for hints. Dad’s love dropping hints when it’s nearing Father’s Day, have a listen to see if they mention any books they’d quite like to read.

Gadgets

As mentioned above, men love their gadgets. There are so many cool and quirky gadgets you can buy your husband/father that they will enjoy way more than you thought possible. The key with a good ‘dad gadget’ is something that’s cool but also helps them in some way. An idea that pops into my head is a kitchen gadget that helps them in the kitchen somehow. Get gadget hunting, and you’ll soon find plenty of ideas that make the perfect gift this Father’s Day.

Food Hampers

If in doubt, buy food! This should be the Father’s Day motto, sang from far and wide all across the country. If you have a really difficult person to buy for on Father’s Day, then the safest option is to get them a food hamper. Everyone loves food, especially your husband/dad. No doubt they’re the ones trying to sneak food of everyone else’s plate at dinner time. I’m not sure any man in the history of the universe has ever been displeased when receiving a food gift, it’s just something they love. Clearly, there are loads of different food related gifts you can buy, but food hampers are your best bet. This is because they allow you to get lots of different things all bundled together in a nice little hamper. Instead of having to choose individual food gifts, you cut out the stress and get lots of things all in one.

Any of these gifts will be perfect for your husband or dad this Father’s Day!
