Voicu Mihnea Simandan is a Romanian-born writer, freelance journalist and educator who has been living in Thailand since 2002. He currently resides in Bangkok.

He has published three books of non-fiction and one book for children.  He has ready for publication a thriller and a collection of short stories, both about contemporary Thailand. He has written many journalistic and educational articles for several newspapers, magazines and websites from Romania and Thailand. He writes both in Romanian and English. He has been a member of the Bangkok Writers’ Guild, a group of English-speaking Bangkok-based writers, since 2008.

He is married with Wasana and has one dog. He loves traveling, martial arts, and archery.
