Books, art, music and film: Bangkok Fiction Night of Noir

Noir is a much talked about genre that is represented across many disciplines, including literature, art, film and music. On Wednesday April 17, 2013, starting at 7:30pm and continuing until late in the night, Checkinn99 is hosting Bangkok Fiction Night of Noir, an event put together by Bangkok-based writer James Newman, author of Bangkok Express.

A panel of well-known writers and artists will entertain the public with discussions about books and art, while you will also have the chance to watch some good noir movies and listen to quality live music.

And, of course, where there are writers, there are books to sign too. This will be your chance to get an autograph from Christopher G. Moore, Dean Barrett, Chris Coles, Thom Locke, James Newman and possibly Tom Vater (whose presence will be confirmed later).

The venue is located in Bangkok’s original cabaret bar, on Sukhumvit Rd., between Sois 5 and 7 (opposite Landmark) at BTS Nana – Exit 1. Make sure you reserve your seat in time at checkinn99bkk[at]gmail[dot]com. There will be a cover charge of 100 baht but also bring in some cash to buy books.
