Whoever said money can’t buy happiness must have been cruising in Sydney because this place can offer pure happiness, bliss, and heavenly joy without having to spend too many dollars. It’s hard to believe that such a thing is possible, but it is. You do not need a hefty bank account to enjoy the grandeur of Sydney. You just need to know all the right spots.

Here are 5 destinations in Sydney which do not require you to be swimming in money:

Sydney

1. The Art Gallery

You only need a good pair of eyes and a sound mind to appreciate the aesthetic talents of the artists whose works are exhibited in the Art Gallery of NSW. And admirably all this art is free to witness by anyone who walks inside the gallery doors without any ticket or fees. The art ranges from historical and neo-classics to modern and Asian landscapes.

2. The Lighthouse

Want to experience something extraordinary? Then walk north of palm beach in Sydney and get on the Barrenjoey Lighthouse to lean over and see the splendid view of the Pacific ocean below and if you happen not to be there in winter then you could be lucky enough to watch the migrating whales up-close along the shoreline.

3. Walking Across the Sydney Harbour Bridge

People visit Sydney for the sole purpose of taking in the breathtaking view of Sydney harbour and that is why the bridge climb (though extraordinary) is a bit pricey. Don’t lose your hopes just yet because we can still walk across the Harbour Bridge for absolutely free and get the same picturesque view or visit the Pylon Lookout which not only provides a lustrous view can let us marvel at the exhibitions and history of the bridge-making only for $11. If you are a group, it might also be worthwhile and affordable to jump on a harbour cruise and take in the sites from water level and take some amazing photos with the bridge as the back-drop.

4. From Bondi to Coogee

The beaches of Sydney are spectacular and striking, and a walk from Bondi beach to Coogee is something else entirely. It would be a crime to visit Sydney and not take this free yet mind blowing walk. Moreover, once you reach Coogee beach you can surf, enjoy the local restaurants and even make your way to the children park which veers off to a bunch of other activities that doesn’t cost much.

5. Visiting Centennial Park

Been a while since you flexed your leg muscles? Then put on your running shoes and take a lap in Centennial Park. Running in this park is a lot different than any other parks because while you are running here you can look around and see the water views basking in the sunlight, or the moonlight alongside the immaculate grounds. This place can give you all the quiet and peace that you have been looking for. It’s a perfect place to come to get some piece of mind on a low budget.

So next time you think that Sydney is an expensive place to have some good time then think again because you can have the time of your life right here in Sydney without having to worry about cash.
